I wanted to make buns for my in-laws and for another family, so I made 2 batches.
The recipe here is only for one.
I had this image of how I wanted it to look, I knew two things:
I wanted it to look yellow
And I wanted it with raisins
It came out fluffy, sweet and delicious with vegan cheese, or vegan butter 😋😊
Warm up in a pan, on a low heat for a few minutes:
½ cup water
½ cup coconut yogourt
½ tsp baking powder
½ cup sugar
¼ cup vegan butter
¼ tsp turmeric
Mix, and pour into a big bowl then add:
1 tsp yeast
Let it activate for a minute
Then add:
3 cups all purpose flour
½ cup raisins
Mix well, and knead.
Cut into 8 pieces and roll into circle buns.
Preheat your stove at 350.
Spread butter on your baking pan and place all the buns.
Spread butter on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
If you want you can cover it and let it rise for about 15-30 minutes.
Bake for about 30 – 40 minutes.
