How to cook plain white rice

RICE is a cereal grain and it the most widely consumed food for large part of the world’s human population.
Rice is an excellent food source, easy to cook with and to create an array of recipes with it that are very tasty.

Here I’m showing just a simple way to cook white rice and serve with some cooked vegetables or creamy salad like

Fill up pot with water and bring to boil.
When ready place 2 cups of rice, washed and strain.
Add 1\2 tsp salt, mix and cook for about 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, strain the water, reduce the heat, add ½ cup water and cook for another 15 minutes.
